Environment type
Estimated reading time: 2-3 minutes
K900’s ability to work in different environments is based on its customized configuration and the robot’s processing of input from LIDAR and sensors.
The K900 can operate in both static environments (e.g., gravity warehouses, bag sorters) and dynamically changing environments (e.g., block warehouses). Learn about environment types so your K900 can clean as efficiently as possible.
To change the environment type:
- Connect to the robot. Click here to learn how to open the WebApp.
- Choose Rooms and select the room you want to configure.
- Go to Configuration section and change the environment type. Don´t forget to save your changes.
You can also change the environment type on the Cleaning Zone level, e.g. if one map contains multiple zones with different specifications. Click here (LINK) to see how to adjust the robot based on the cleaning zone.
Which environment type choose?
Environment settings | Change of objects | Examples | Robot behaviour |
Static | ca. 0% |
|
The robot uses the map created at the deployment and does not update it. |
Slightly dynamic | up to 30% |
|
The robot uses the map created at the deployment, updating it for changing objects. Changes are not saved - they are valid only for the current mission. |
Dynamic | more than 30% |
|
The robot creates a new map for every mission, considering cleaning areas, red zones and restricted lines, with possible deviations. |
